Hej, IKEA!
Nice to meet you.
Allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Tulsa: a creative, resilient, and vibrant city in northeast Oklahoma.
Tulsa and IKEA have a lot in common: We’re high-quality and surprisingly affordable.
We value creativity and resourcefulness.
And we have really good food and customer experience, which we hope you'll experience in-person for yourselves at our Tulsmå Restaurant.
Consider this our heartfelt plea for an IKEA store in the heartland of America.
All our love,
Tulsa

We moved here from Fishers, Indiana, where we were so blessed to have a wonderful Ikea just five minutes away. When we moved to Tulsa, we loaded up everything we could in our car from the local Ikea to drive it 10 hours to Tulsa, and have since placed two other direct ship orders to fill our whole apartment with your wonderful stuff. What we CAN'T get shipped here is the meatballs and the cinnamon rolls, so that just has to wait until we can get back to Indiana briefly. Bring us our Ikea - we love you!

I am back in Tulsa after a trip to France with my daughter, where we bought IKEA furniture for my mother. We looked at furniture for us. We used to go regularly when we lived overseas. Having a store in Tulsa has been a hope and in the conversation with my children for a while. The all family living in OK ( 10 adults) would definitely shop there !

And how about dorm room shopping?? We have the University of Tulsa right here and Oklahoma State University only one hour to the west!

I love IKEA! I used to head there with family all the time for home improvement items and new furniture when I lived in Houston. I'd love to keep that up in my new home in Oklahoma. Please come to Tulsa!
Penny
We love Ikea! We try to stop every time we go through Dallas or Kansas City. Tulsa would be the perfect location for Ikea and would attract customers from all surrounding states. Please come to our beautiful little city!
Jay
When we lived in Western Arkansas, we traveled to the Frisco Ikea 7 times in one summer just to re-do our kitchen. Oh, to have an Ikea in the Tulsa area! It's a little over an hour from Northwest Arkansas with a population of 600K and OKC 1.5 million-and finally Tulsa with a little over a million Ikea hungry folks! Let's go! Bring an Ikea to Tulsa!! Please...
Matthew
My wife and I enjoy shopping at IKEA when we're in St. Louis, but it is impractical to buy large items there since we drive sedans. Having a store in Tulsa allow us to buy larger items (without paying shipping) and shop more often.
Jill
I would love to see a local Ikea. It’s difficult to shop for much when you’re traveling and trying to figure out how to get things back home.
Andrew
I come from London where we lived right by the Wembley store. IKEA is and always has been my favorite furniture to buy and use but with our current closest store more than 4 hours away we tend to buy from other retailers because it’s hard to make that trip. We would love IKEA in Tulsa!!!!!!!!!!!
Aimee
Please come to Tulsa!!!

Not too long ago, I helped my friend remodel a rental property. He redid the whole thing with Ikea furniture, cabinets, and more. Ever since then, we've pined for an IKEA in Tulsa so we don't have to drive 8 hours round trip to Texas. C'mon Ikea, come to Tulsa, the Paris of Oklahoma!
Mallory
I love IKEA and we are smack dab in the middle of two. That are each four hours away. This would be a wonderful halfway point for those that can’t make the drive!
Brooke
I love the bedroom furniture and kitchen appliances. I also enjoy eating lunch or dinner at the restaurant. Please bring IKEA to Tulsa. I’m constantly driving back and forth to Frisco and would love to have a store in Tulsa.
Megan
Tulsa needs an IKEA! You would have the entire home good market. We have few affordable options and a million young people eager to shop with you regularly! We’re a hip city! You’ll fit right in.
Kari
My husband and I have made trips to Kansas City twice now specifically to stock up on IKEA goods: when we remodeled our bathroom and when we were getting all of our nursery furniture when our son was born. Now our new baby daughter has been handed down our son’s IKEA crib and the LEKA baby gym gave us her first social smile. I would love to own more of the baby/kid toys for my kiddos but we simply can’t drive 4 hours to Texas or Kansas that often. I think Tulsa is the perfect place to put a new IKEA because it’s right between the ones in Texas and Kansas. As a mom, homeowner, and a kindergarten teacher I would be there regularly.

Howdy! Oklahoma needs an IKEA. Your store here would keep me from having to drive 4-6 hours to the next closest locations from me in central Oklahoma. A store in Tulsa would allow me to shop more frequently and expand your offerings to a whole new demographic not able to make the 4-6+ hour drive. Hope to be seeing you on the windy plains soon!

IKEA please consider coming to Tulsa!!! I know Trader Joe’s, and Costco, which by the way has since expanded locations in Tulsa, are glad they came!!!!!!
Dr. Skull
Please, I love Ikea I need it.
Robin
We try to go the Frisco location and the Kansas City location at least once a year. It's always so hard to pare down the list based on room in the car, (although we did take a trailer once when we were redoing the laundry room and needed cabinets and a sink.) Tulsa is the perfect location and the perfect population for an IKEA!!!!

Trips to Ikea have been a regular rite of passage when setting up or redesigning a room. Dallas or KC area. Would love to have a Tulsa store. A local store would mean many more purchases!
MAC
I have mixed feelings about this. I’d absolutely love to see an IKEA come to Tulsa, but there’s a strong possibility that I’ll go broke if it does.
TH3WAY
Please bring ikea to Tulsa. Everyone I talk to say it all the time that they want one here. Trust me when I say, it will be worth your time/investing coming here.
David
Tulsa loves IKEA! Please open a store here - my wife makes me drive 4 hours down to Texas every month to shop Ikea. Ouch! I would gladly spend the money for a tank of gas at a local IKEA every month. PLEASE come to Tulsa - a great city - and help this boy out!
Margaret
Dear Ikea, Please come to Tulsa. We will treat you very hospitable. Open your doors here and we will walk through them emptied handed and leave with carts full of great products! I hope to see you soon!!
Sandy
We drive to KC several times a year. Would love to have an IKEA here and would be there every month!
Julie B
We NEED an IKEA in Tulsa!! I’m a decorator and could use an IKEA here for myself and my clients! Please come to Tulsa!!!
Corbin
IKEA and Tulsa are like a match made in Heaven. The city is booming and there's never been a better time to invest in our city. With 4 million residents in the region, IKEA in Tulsa would be a major draw and fill a major regional gap by the company.
Lisa
I have been traveling to Houston for years to visit the kids and always go to IKEA. Also, go to Dallas to visit friends and always go to IKEA. I like the laundry drying rack, the desk top pad, the meatballs most definitely…etc. etc. My husband and I would love to have an IKEA locally.
Debra
We would love to have you in Tulsa!

The timing of my petition is ironic as I am specifically making a trip down to Frisco in two days to go to IKEA. I bought a house in Tulsa two years ago and as a very design forward young woman, I am always wanting to make trips to IKEA locally to continuously update my house. It’s a pain to drive 4 hours south in my sedan to only be able to bring back small items. Put an IKEA in Tulsa please!
Stephanie
I've watched tons of videos on Ikea products and scrolled through the website more than I can count. I would love for an Ikea to come Tulsa. I would spend every paycheck there.
Emm
Whenever I'm traveling and have the chance to shop at IKEA I love to check out the handy kitchen tools and get ideas from the showroom. It would be awesome to bring this business home and shop more often at IKEA. Please bring IKEA to Tulsa!
Libby
It's a real bummer to have to drive 4+ hours to Texas or Missouri to get to Ikea, the best furniture store in the world! I would love to see it open in our backyard!!
Kerri
IKEA in Green Country? Yes please! :)

“I tend to forget about IKEA because I don't think of it as an online brand like Wayfair, but I don't see it everywhere I look like I do with Target… Tulsa really just needs an IKEA store! We’re a land of DIYers — look at our history as an oil boom town, look at Black Wall Street.”
Dev
“The last time I went to IKEA I spent maybe $30 on miscellaneous kitchen stuff. It’s all tons of stuff you’d never buy online, but you see it in store and it’s $3 so you say hell yeah.”
Anne
“IKEA and Tulsa have a lot in common, y’all!!! We’re both affordable/accessible but quality and cute! Tulsa needs an IKEA bad!”
Cassie
“Assembling IKEA furniture will strengthen my marriage”
Josh
“I would probably do IKEA hacks if I could just run to the store”
Kody
“Tulsa should have an IKEA because there’s a lot of people moving to and from Tulsa OFTEN. IKEA is where I turn to when I need to reinvent my space or my life. Give me a Saturday where I can buy everything and do everything and I’m THERE!”
